What are the Best Uruguayan Dishes to Try in Los Angeles and How to Watch Them?
Hi everyone! I'm new to the Los Angeles food scene and I'm really interested in exploring Uruguayan cuisine. I’ve heard a lot about dishes like asado and empanadas, but I’m not sure where to find authentic versions here in LA. Also, are there any good IPTV channels that showcase Uruguayan cooking shows or cultural programs? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Lucas Martinez I’m not sure where to find authentic versions here in LA.You should definitely check out La Pampa and Uruguayan Bistro as Admin mentioned. They have a great selection! Also, if you’re looking for more casual eats, El Chivito has fantastic chivitos and is super popular.

I love Uruguayan food! You can also try Los Uruguayos for their fantastic sweets, especially the tortas fritas. As for watching shows, thanks for the IPTV recommendation, Admin! I’ll definitely check that out.

Great suggestions, Sofia and Javier! It’s wonderful to see everyone contributing. Los Uruguayos is indeed a hidden gem for desserts. If you’re interested in more than just food, the IPTV service I mentioned can offer a variety of shows that will immerse you in Uruguayan culture, from music to cooking.

Excellent inquiry, Maria! Uruguay is famous for its Tannat wine, which pairs beautifully with red meats like those in asado. Additionally, you might want to try medio y medio, a delightful mix of white wine and sparkling wine. It’s refreshing and pairs well with many dishes. Don't forget to check out the IPTV service for shows that might feature these beverages!

Yerba mate is definitely popular! You can find places that serve it, and it’s a great way to enjoy a social drink like in Uruguay. I like to have it while enjoying some empanadas.
