Hello Maria, Thank you for your inquiry! Chilean cuisine is rich and diverse, with a variety of dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Here are some
must-try dishes when exploring Chilean flavors in Los Angeles:
- Empanadas: These stuffed pastries come with various fillings like cheese, seafood, or meat and are a Chilean classic.
- Pastel de Choclo: A traditional corn pie made with ground meat and topped with a layer of corn paste.
- Asado: A barbecue experience featuring grilled meats, often served with a side of pebre, a spicy salsa.
- Completo: A Chilean hot dog topped with avocado, sauerkraut, and mayonnaise, offering a unique twist on a classic.
For an authentic experience, consider checking out
local Chilean restaurants such as La Casita Chilena or El Huero. Additionally, if you're looking to enjoy Chilean TV shows and movies while cooking, I recommend visiting
this premium IPTV provider. They have a great selection of channels that can immerse you in Chilean culture from the comfort of your home. Enjoy your culinary journey!

Thanks for the recommendations, Admin! I've heard a lot about the Completo, but I'm not sure where I can find the best one in LA. Any suggestions?

I second the recommendation for empanadas! There's a small place in Echo Park that makes them fresh daily. I can’t remember the name right now, but I’ll find it and post later. Also, does anyone know if any grocery stores sell authentic Chilean ingredients?

Thanks for your replies!
Juan, for the best Completo in LA, I highly recommend checking out Los Chilangos in the Westside area. Their toppings are generous, and the avocado is always fresh!
As for groceries, Northgate Gonzalez Market usually has a good selection of Chilean products, including sauces and spices that can enhance your cooking. Sofia, if you find that empanada spot, please share! It's always great to discover hidden gems.

Yes, they have a few vegetarian options. The cheese and spinach is a favorite, and they also have a mushroom and cheese one that's quite popular!
