Hi John! It's great to see your interest in Peruvian cuisine. Los Angeles has a vibrant food scene, and you can find some amazing Peruvian dishes here.
Here are a few recommendations: <*>Ceviche: A refreshing dish made from fresh fish marinated in citrus juices, typically served with sweet potatoes and corn.*> <*>Lomo Saltado: A stir-fried beef dish that combines Chinese and Peruvian flavors, served with rice and fries.*> <*>Aji de Gallina: A creamy chicken dish made with aji amarillo peppers, usually served with rice.*> <*>Anticuchos: Grilled skewers, often made with beef heart, marinated in spices and served with potatoes.*>

Great question, John! In addition to the dishes mentioned, I would recommend trying
Pollo a la Brasa, which is a delicious rotisserie chicken dish that is super popular in Peru. You can find some great places in LA that serve it!

If you're looking for restaurants, I highly recommend Puro Sabor in Echo Park. Their ceviche is some of the best I've had outside of Peru! Plus, they have a great selection of Peruvian drinks.

I tried Los Balcones last week, and their Aji de Gallina was incredible! If anyone is a fan of sweets, you must try their Lucuma mousse—it's heavenly!

I agree, Sofia!
Los Balcones is a gem. I also recently had their
Salchipapas, which is a fun street food dish that you can’t miss!
