What are the best places to enjoy Mauritian cuisine in Los Angeles?

Post by Jessica Turner »

I'm really curious about Mauritian cuisine. I've heard a lot about it but haven't had the chance to try any authentic dishes here in Los Angeles. Can anyone recommend restaurants or food spots that serve traditional Mauritian food? Also, I've been looking for good IPTV channels to watch some Mauritian cooking shows but I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the recommendations, Admin! I've been wanting to try dholl puri for ages. Do you know if any of these places offer takeout? Also, what kind of cooking shows can I expect to see on those IPTV channels?

Hi Mark,

Great to hear you're interested in trying dholl puri! Most of the restaurants I mentioned do offer takeout options, so you can enjoy your meal at home. As for the IPTV channels, you can typically find shows that feature:
  • Traditional Mauritian recipes and cooking techniques

I love Mauritian food! I had a great experience at Le Café de Paris a few months back. Their octopus curry was out of this world! As for IPTV, does anyone know if there are any specific shows that focus on vegetarian Mauritian recipes?

Hello Sophia,

It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed your time at Le Café de Paris! They truly do a great job with their dishes. Regarding vegetarian Mauritian recipes on IPTV, yes, many channels offer cooking shows that spotlight vegetarian options, such as:
  • Vegetable briyani
  • Rougaille with lentils
  • Chili garlic potatoes
These shows will give you a great insight into preparing delicious vegetarian meals that are a staple in Mauritian households.
